Lazy Product Manager (“the app”) is a Mac application that helps you turn notes into product requirement documents (PRDs) and Jira issues. This policy explains what happens to your data. The short version: the app has no servers, no accounts, and collects no data about you. Everything stays on your Mac except the content you choose to send to the AI provider and Jira you configure.
Nothing. The developer of Lazy Product Manager operates no servers and receives no data from the app. There is no analytics, no tracking, and no account system.
The app stores your settings — including your name (if provided), your AI provider API key, and your Jira credentials — locally in the macOS Keychain, the same encrypted system macOS uses for passwords. This information never leaves your device except as described below. If you choose a save folder, the PRDs, drafts, and records the app generates are written to that folder on your Mac.
To generate a plan, the app sends the notes you enter, along with your chosen template, to the AI provider you select and configure (such as Anthropic, OpenAI, Groq, or Google). This happens directly between your device and that provider, using your own API key. Your use of these providers is governed by their own privacy policies and terms.
If you choose to connect Jira and push your generated issues, the app sends those issues directly to the Jira instance you configure, using your own Jira credentials. This happens directly between your device and your Jira instance.
The developer is not a party to and does not receive any of this data.
Because all data lives on your device, you control it entirely. You can edit or remove your stored credentials at any time in the app’s Settings, delete any saved files from your folder, and revoke the app’s API keys directly with your AI provider or Jira at any time.
The app is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect information from anyone.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this page with a revised date.
